The day your mom and dad found out you were existing! Your mom had to work that night so she called her boss and told her that she was pregnant and needed the weekend off! |

We got to see you for the first time. It was Mommy and Daddy's first of many ultra sounds. With Mommy only being about 9 weeks pregnant, you looked like a little bean in the black and white photos! The news of your coming arrival was shared with the family.

You were moving a bit less in the last few days. We just thought that is was being your due date is coming up and you are running out of room in there. Your daddy and mommy both felt you kicking tonight. Only 5 ½ weeks until your due date. We wonder how big you will be. What will you look like. We just can not wait to hold you little one! We are counting down the days! One thing for sure, you will be loved! So many people are excited to meet you! |

It is noon and there had been no movement from you today? Why? Are you just tired? Are you just really cramped in there and running out of room? Is the amniotic fluid low due to the recent high summer temperatures outside? We tried drinking cold water to get you to move, we tried your favorite music, tried lying still, but nothing. Grandma Kris and Grandpa Brian are at Sturgis now so Nana Beth, mommy and daddy went to the Red Wing Hospital just to have things checked out and to make sure you were ok. We checked in at the ER and were sent up to the labor and delivery area to be monitored. It seemed like forever. The nurse checked over and over for your heart beat. A 2nd machine was brought in with hopes that the first machine was just not working when it could not find your heart beat. By the third machine the nurse’s hand was shaking and she said that she needed to call in the on call doctor just to check things out because she was getting conflicting information. We were scared but still hanging on to hope that things were ok.
The on call doctor came in with an ultra sound machine. It was then that the shock set in. No heartbeat!! What?? This can not be true; we just have 36 days until your due date! We were sent down stairs to an ultra sound tech to do a more detailed ultra sound. It was then that the power of what everyone was saying sunk in. We saw you one more time while you were still inside your mommy's tummy. Your hands were covering your face, as though you were trying to hide. Your legs looked long, your feet big. We could see some hair on the back of your head, we could see your pouty lips, your sweet hands, and we could see your heart that was no longer beating. Why? We know that God has reasons for everything he does but…..why? We love you! We want you! Why? Why? Why? With endless support from our loving Dr. Kate your mommy was enduced at 4:00 that night August 5th, 2007. Mommy labored with your daddy and family by their side throughout the night. Mommy and Daddy held each other, cried together, and prayed to God that he help them through this rigid time.
You arrived at 1:43pm the next afternoon, Monday, August 6th, 2007.
You were and always will be our beautiful baby girl. We all love you Elle Mae Lindenfelser
